Computers can not be compared to human brains. Although computers are able to do many sophisticated things, the human brain is more powerful than any computer. According to a 1997 article in U.S. News & World Report magazine, “It has been estimated that the information processing capacity of even the most powerful supercomputer is equal to the nervous system of a snail-a tiny fraction of the power available to the supercomputer inside the human skull” (Steven Pinker 64). The kinds of processing in a human brain and a computer are different, too. Human brain can analyze more perfectly than computer. However, the computer is able to memorize every detail of data while human will find difficulties to memorize a group of numbers. Steven Pinker claimed that computers find it easy to remember a 25 digit number but find it hard to summarize the gist of (children story) ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and humans find it hard to remember the number but easy to summarize the story (64). For example, the computers in the bank, they are operated by entering account numbers of the customers. The tellers will not remember all the account numbers of the customers, but they can analyze the type of the customers and what the customer need. In this case the ability of the computer and human brains are working together.
